Join us for an exclusive Japanese Tsumamizaiku hands-on workshop (using Tweezers).
Learn the delicate and meditative art of Tsumamizaiku (つまみ細工) — a 200 year-old traditional Japanese technique of folding small fabric squares to create intricate floral designs. You will also be using upcycled Chusen Dyeing fabric (another 200 year old fabric dyeing technique from the Edo Period).
In this special session, you’ll create your own Chrysanthemum Pendant, a symbol of longevity and rejuvenation in Japanese culture. Under Tomoko-sensei’s gentle guidance, you’ll experience the joy of slow crafting and bring home a wearable piece of Japanese heritage
